Physical rotation of the bar?
A uniform rod of mass m_1 and length L rotating in a horizontal plane around a fixed axis through its center and perpendicular the mother. Two small rings, each with a mass m_2, are mounted so they can slide onto the rod. They are initially held by catches in the positions at a distance r from each side of the center of the stem, and the system works at an angular velocity w (omega). No other changes in the system, the catch is released, and outer rings of the slide along the rod and go to the final. A) What is the angular velocity of the system at the time when sounds reach the ends of the bar? B) What is the angular velocity of the rod after sounding out?
This problem was solved by conservation of angular momentum, which is * w, where = moment of inertia w = angular velocity. Calculate I1, with the rings in the first position (which is the sum of mother Ir, I and rings, each ring is m_2 * r ^ 2, if the initial impulse (Go + 2 * R * m_2 ^ 2) * w1. When the rings are about to leave the bar, which are L / 2, the center of rotation, so angular momentum is then [Go + 2 * m_2 * (L / 2) ^ 2] * W2 w2 Equate and solve these. During the ring to leave the bar, the only time that is the mother, and her time Go angular * W3, which must equal the initial moment (Go + 2m_2 * r ^ 2) * Set these equal and solve for w1 W3. Find the angular momentum of a rod of length L RI revolves around its central point (I think m_1 * (2 ^ L) / 12, but you should check.)
