Help to identify a bamboo fishing / fly fishing rod!?
I found this bamboo rod very cool shop antiques today. The logo on the stem of a balloon and below it said "Globe." This is an old rod, 80 or 90 most likely, very good condition. It strange was that the reel is above the cork handle that I've never seen a fly rod. Im pretty sure its good a fly rod is really long, 4 pieces and become very thin at the top, but do not know why anyone would make a bamboo rod spinning? Anyway, if anyone has information, and what it's worth, I would be grateful. Indeed, it was like $ 40 at the store. Yes in its wooden box with a sealed bag hooks and a hat or two. in their very good condition. What do you think the retail value is in good condition?
probably 50 years or 60 years. I guess the handle can be reversed. Many bars built for use with multiple styles of fishing. particularly those that are imported. The meters also assume that is a relatively cheap imports from China or Japan. The U.S. market has been flooded with a lot of cheap imports from Asia after the Second World War. He was not alone. Many U.S. manufacturers of steel and copper rods back in the day supposedly to be used as reeds and straw quality. particularly telescopic. but if it is in real good condition, it is a fair price. Does the wooden box with him?:)
