We talked with Brian this week and show was a great success. Many listeners sent their questions, but as the show was only about 90 minutes, Brian was not able to respond everything. Well, do not worry because we have scheduled a second part of the interview and we will try to integrate all your questions.
Fishing is a biologist familiar with the ways of trout and where and how to catch them. Brian has spent his career in the management of trout fishing, has been working on habitat protection and management plans for individual lakes.
He said the trout are usually present in eutrophic lakes. These lakes are shallow and usually have intermittent or no inputs or outputs, which means they have low rates of discharge. Soils and geology around you do become rich in nutrients for the insects to fish.
Brian spoke on various topics including other acid and alkaline lakes, spring and winter sales, the thermocline, the main food source for trout, and other many things.
