Hiking and fishing on Lake Tahoe?
I am a decent fly fisherman and enjoy discovering the creeks / rivers to fish in. I am a fan of fishing in the lake, but I think the fishing streams and rivers is more fun. I like fly fishing or lure fish and I'm looking for places to go around Lake Tahoe, willing to drive up to an hour. If anyone knows some good places I could walk, I would be happy to help. I know it's not unusual to give the "secret" fishing spots do not feel obliged to do so unless you're willing to share. I'll keep searching the web, but could not get an advantage to ask. Thanks in advance!
I have no fear to give my secret places. Take 267 Kings Beach on the north coast, track after crossing the 80,267 towers in 89, then follow. End of the road in Sierraville, turn left on the table 89/49 Sattley the road, bear left onto Highway 49 and Gold Lake followed S620 / Co Bassetts Station Road market, continue to the hill. It is reached by road in Co 621/Packer Lake Road, turn left and drive 300 meters and the small bridge and park on the right side of the road. Go down the hill This small stream that looks and walk through the Creek bridge about 200 meters you will see a flood of fortune deeper waters behind it. Fly fishing is incredible Brooks for German Browns and Rainbows. If you follow the lake road Packer later, you come to a fork in the road, continually Packer Lake Road and Lake Sardina Road, follow the road … PL You will see signs for Packer Lake Lodge, follow. You reach a Lodge cabin area, where you can fish for free in a small lake is full of Brooks, Brown and Rainbow. Fishermen are limited to less than an hour. Once you are in this lake in the area of the docks on the west bank of Lake (it you can rent a boat like20 Bucks, no motor boat allowed) you want on the line and on the right side of the lake you see on the site where the great rock and sugar cane. Want to fish under the reeds about 50 feet away from the rock. Good luck there. It takes about 30-45 minutes from Tahoe.
