Pheasant Tail Nymphs
admin October 8th, 2008

whats a pheasant tail nymph?
The pheasant tail nymph (PT Nymph) is a generic, “jack-of-all-trades” sort of nymph. It is typically tied using 3 or 4 pheasant tail fibers, which are tied in at the bend of the hook. The remainder of the fibers are wound forward to the eye of the hook and then trimmed. Weight can be added either with an underbody of wire or with a bead attached prior to tying the fly.
Tight lines!
