Can you be an Airforce pilot but not fly in combat missions?
Like can you be a test pilot testing the planes. A test pilot may be more dangerous though when the plane crashes. O_o but at least theres no risk of crashing in to enemy lines and being tortured. Torture sucks. Plus I dont want to kill people. I think Ill be killed first before killing someone else.
I just want to test their cool new planes, but I dont want to kill anyone. Id die myself before killing anyone. Im not against shooting people in the shins or non critical parts to immobilize them though.

Yes, but most Airforce pilots do fly into combat zones. Air Ambulance planes ferry overseas sick and wounded back to military hospitals. Refueling aircraft operate all over the place, but tend to stay out of combat zones. You could be a test bed pilot, flying regular aircraft with experimental systems in the back, (flying labs) and there are a number of administrative aircraft you could fly as well. Airborne surveilance aircraft tend to stay at a distance also. (AWACS and JSTARS)
