Which of these foods should I feed my newly rescued adult dog?
He doesn’t appear to have any food allergies that I can tell but he is prone to mucousy diarrhea and he is a VERY finicky eater! He is a 1 yr old, 12 lb shih tzu. Also, he hates canned food.

I applaud you for adopting a rescue dog and again applaud you for wanting to provide the best food available, not just the cheapest. There should be more people like you. I have 3 shih tzus and went through the same thing. They became extremely pickey at times and I also tried everything I could find. They seem to like Nutro Canned Puppy with Chunks. I called the Nutro company and discussed giving puppy food to adult dogs and they said because it has more fat just watch their weight more carefully. It is healthy for adult dogs too.
