I'm trying to get into fly fishing, but I am a little confused about something. On sites that you can order extra coil and core, but what do you need an extra coil because the coil can only deal with line 6 weight? Can I use a 8-weight reel on a reel of 6 weight is the same model? If you receive a 6 weight rod and reel is the heaviest weight you can handle online? What is the lightest you can handle?
You would not use a spool on a 8wt 6WT coil size. It would be inappropriate. The additional coil is identical the coil that came with the coil. One of the most popular applications for an additional coil must have a different type of fly line, and sink point. Also you can use different sizes on different lines coils. What sacrifice by going to a larger line support capacity, but usually is not enough to make a difference. Go online to a smaller increase support capacity. On a roll of medium size, as a 6MWT, there should be no problems up or down line size.
